The Question is: After upgrading Advanced Server from v7.2a to V7.3a, I can no longer transfer via MS-Windows (any version) files that have the starting character of an alphabetical letter, followed by (3) three 0 (zeros). Example: G0003456.Bin BUT renaming it to Gooo3456.Bin allows transfer of the files/directories. The renaming causes a date change and we cannot use that method. Files with other variations of (3) three 0's (zeros) transfer without a problem, also files with (2) letters in th e first two positions work just fine. There is something about a letter followed by three zeros that causes this problem. I have tested this on other VMS nodes with V7.3a installed and can replicate the problem at will. The Answer is : Please upgrade to Advanced Server V7.3A-ECO1.
