The Question is: We are moving from Memory Channel to Gigabit as a Cluster Interconnect. We are having trouble finding any documentation on configuring a cluster to Gigabit Interconnect. When we remove the MC and change to LAN it defaults to our standard Ethernet cards. W e are using Fibre Channel for disk I/O. Is there an updated procedure for this? The Answer is : Assuming supported controllers and ECOs, GbE controllers function as a cluster interconnect without any particular configuration requirements -- once the LAN is enabled, SCS will probe and use all available LAN connections. For more specific control over SCS, please see the SCACP mechanisms and the associated documention. On older releases, see topics such as (8650), (5694) and (7640) -- for path selection -- and see (1778), (2758), (4001), (4458), (4819), (6067), and (8650). In most cases, the default behaviour is often the most appropriate.
