I'm not sure if the backup could be causing this to happen....can it?
The Answer is : Please do upgrade to a supported OpenVMS release, and also please apply all available mandatory ECO kits for the release -- and please download and apply the current FIBRE_SCSI ECO kits for V7.2-2, V7.3, or V7.3-1, as the information provided within the SDA stack footprint certainly implies the involvement of the OpenVMS disk I/O subsystem. Please do not submit system crashes to the OpenVMS Wizard, as it is quite often supremely difficult to (correctly) diagnose crashes from SDA output. As is stated in the introductory materials to the ATW area, please contact the support center directly with reports of system crashes -- detailed information typically including the SDA CLUE CRASH and other related output will be required at a minimum, in order to identify a system crash as an existing and known crash, or as a new and previously unreported crash.
