The Question is:

 
How do i have the mac address of the nic installed on my system.

The Answer is :

 
  The hardware-level network address information is referenced in the
  OpenVMS FAQ, and various options and commands are available for
  various software and hardware platforms and configurations.  Again,
  please see the FAQ for this information.
 
  For a program that uses driver-level calls to retrieve the Ethernet
  or 802.3 network address details within a running application, please
  see the example code available in the links at the left side of the
