Windows Attached Printer?

The Question is:

 
We have an alpha Open VMS system.  We have a client that dials in with a modem
 to access the Alpha system.  They had been printing from the Alpha to a
 printer hooked directly to the PC.
(We used Esc 5i to print to this printer).
Now they have a networked printer.
 
They are using Hyperterm on the PC to access the Alpha and would like to print
 to a printer networked to their PC.
 
We have our local network printers running on TCPIP.
 
Is there a way to do this?  Do they need to use other term emulation software?
 

The Answer is :

 
  One approach involves an IP link, and the configuration of the
  OpenVMS host to recognize the network printer involved.  This
  would require IP routers on both ends, and would operate as a
  traditional IP network -- with a dial-up communications link
  involved, obviously.
 
  The other approach would involve configuring the terminal client
  with the network printer as an attached printer; as the direct
  replacement for the current configuration.
 
  As for setting up attached printers and for the printer options
  that may or may not be present on Microsoft Windows systems or
  software running on that platform, please contact a Windows Wizard.
  You may well find another terminal emulator that supports this,
  the OpenVMS Wizard does not know.
