The Question is: Why isn’t VMS seeing the DEGXA-SA as a NIC card? We purchased 2 DEGXA-SA gigabit Ethernet boards for our Alphas. When the Alpha turned on you can see the board as a EGA0 device at the console level (isn’t EG a Fiber channel?). When VMS 7.3-1 is booted you can't see the device at all with the $ SHOW DEVICE. Accordingly, please contact the support center, as information on the particular Alpha system(s) involved is required. If this is one of the supported Alpha platforms, you will want to have the LAN, PCSI, and UPDATE ECO kits applied, as well.
