The Question is: We have a homogenous cluster and the one node keeps trying to startup VPM$Server on the other node how can I stop this from happening. Security alarm (SECURITY) and security audit (SECURITY) on SHARE2, system id: 1064 Auditable event: Network login failure Event time: 9-AUG-2004 16:09:49.50 PID: 24608FE8 Process name: VPM_8230 Username: VPM$SERVER Remote nodename: TFD1 Remote node id: 1065 (1.41) Remote username: Y004042P Status: %LOGIN-F-DISUSER, account is disabled The Answer is : This is the remote portion of MONITOR utility, and specifically the MONITOR CLUSTER mechanism. There is a mechanism to start the IP VPM receiver in the site-specific system startup template, but the OpenVMS Wizard will assume this configuration is using DECnet Phase IV. Please ensure you haved a consistent set of passwords, and that the password for VPM matches that in the DECnet Phase IV database.
