AssumeDigestSupport Directive

Purpose

This directive doesn't do anything except set a flag in the server which is never checked. Therefore, you can safely ignore it. It was thought at one point that some sort of fall back strategy could be used, whereby a client which doesn't support md5 would get a Basic challenge instead, but this was never implemented.

Syntax

AssumeDigestSupport On | Off

Virtual Host

This directive is not valid in VirtualHost configuration.

Default

The Default is Off.
