Yes it works, Linux probably works directly with Earthlink, but the dhcp timeframe kept biting me, and maybe a firewall on the Linux box -- not really sure will need to retest to see if I can get any one Linux box on Earthlink CableModem. It looks like there is about a 6 hour lease -- each time I check it the highest I've seen is about 5 hours and 20 minutes left on the lease.
