However, add (BAD) Scrooge McDuck has a different result. The entry is added but the (BAD) string is dropped from the subscriber name. Is there a requirement that a parenthesized comment not come at the beginning? Or should this work? Both "BAD" Scrooge McDuck and Scrooge McDuck "BAD" work as expected. ================================================================================ Archive-Date: Mon, 30 Aug 2004 14:21:55 -0700 Message-ID: <41339AE1.9E6FA034@montana.edu> Date: Mon, 30 Aug 2004 15:23:45 -0600 From: Allen Porter Reply-To: MX-List@MadGoat.com MIME-Version: 1.0 To: mx-list@madgoat.com Subject: How Many Listserv Lists is Too Many? Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit How many listserv lists is too many? We currently have 2,228 lists and wish to ramp this up to 3,452 lists. We currently have lists for 60% of our class sections and want to increase that to 100%. What impact (other than more memory and slower to reload) will this have on MCP and the other services? At what point does something break? Is there any absolute maximum number of lists? Thanks! Allen Porter Montana State University
