Active Directory Service Interfaces (ADSI) 2.5

Read Me First
Microsoft^® Active Directory Service Interfaces version 2.5 (ADSI) should be used only where the Novell Directory Service (NDS) provider is required. For all other environments, use the updated Active Directory Client Extensions (DSClient) or the ADSI system component that is integrated with the Windows 2000 and Windows XP operating systems. For more information on the Active Directory Client Extensions (DSClient) see the market bulletin: Active Directory Client Extensions for Windows 95, Windows 98 and Windows NT Workstation 4.0.

There will be no updates to ADSI 2.5 and Microsoft support is limited. For more information see the Microsoft Knowledge Base article (Q289105).

ADSI 2.5 includes providers - objects that interface between the client and server portions of the directory service. Developers or administrators can write scripts or applications that include these providers.

How to Download

1. Download the current ADSI 2.5 help files (compatible for all processors). If you have problems viewing this help file, please download the Windows HTML Viewer (see Related Information, below).
