Windows 95 INF Installer-Service Pack 1 Tool can be used to integrate .inf (and related) files from the various tools directories within the Admin directory on the Windows 95 CD.
This is an update to a new component that has been released since Microsoft Windows 95 Service Pack 1 (Sept. 10, 1996).
NOTE: This download is not intended for use on computers running Microsoft® Windows® 98.
System Requirements
Microsoft Windows 95
How to Download
- Create a folder. Right-click the desktop, then click New Folder. Type a name for the folder.
- Click the Download button at the top or the bottom of the page.
- Save the file in the new folder.
How to Get Started
- Go to a MS-DOS prompt.
- Run the .exe file to extract the program files.
To use this utility, first run Netsetup and create a network installation of Windows 95. You can then use Infinst.exe to add external components--for example, the SNMP agent (in Admin\Nettools\Snmp)--to the Netsetup tree and(optionally) force installation of the components using a batch script.
If the component being integrated is an application, an entry is added to the Optional Components section of the Msbatch.inf file.
If the component is a network service, then the Services entry in the Network section of the Msbatch.inf file is updated with the newly added service
