Read Me First
The Microsoft Fax Update fixes a disabled cover page problem that occurs with Microsoft® Fax. When this error occurs, no cover page files are listed in the Compose New Fax Wizard, or in the Default Cover Page section of the properties for Microsoft Fax.

This problem can occur if the Archive attribute has been removed from the .cpe files in the Windows® folder, or if you have created a cover page in an unrecognized format, even if the Archive attribute is set correctly. The Archive attribute is often removed by backup programs.

This is an update to a component that has been released since Microsoft Windows 95 Service Pack 1 (Sept. 10, 1996).

NOTE: This download is not intended for use on computers running Microsoft® Windows® 98.

How to Download

1. Create a folder by right-clicking on the desktop, click New, and then click Folder. Type a name for the folder and press enter.
2. Click the Download Now button at the top or bottom of this page. In the File download dialog box that appears on your screen, click Save Program to Disk.
3. Choose to save the file in the folder you just created, then click Save.
4. Open that folder and double-click cover_pg.exe to install the program files. Be sure to read the "Read-Me" files for additional information.

How to Use
You don't need to do anything after downloading.
