With the Internet Mail Update, you can use Microsoft® Exchange to send and receive mail over the Internet. Windows 95 users who want to communicate with anyone on the Internet or any network with POP3 and SMTP services can use the Internet Mail Service for Windows 95.

This update resolves a number of Windows 95 Internet Mail issues including:

  • Enabling the Remote Mail viewer to function with the Exchange Server 4.0 Client when the Internet Mail service is running.
  • Resolves several time-out and delivery problems when connecting and re-connecting using Remote Mail.
  • Correctly sets the Sent Date.
  • Fixes several MIME body part corruption problems related to attachments.

This is an update to a new component that has been released since the Microsoft Windows 95 Service Pack 1 (Sept 10, 1996).
