Read Me First
This component slightly improves performance of the earlier released version of the Microsoft® Windows® 95 backup application. This update also helps guard against a user improperly erasing media by disabling the "Erase Tape" command when backing up to floppy disks or to another hard drive. This update also fixes an "out of memory" issue that may be encountered when restoring data. This update does not add any support for additional devices that were not supported in the original version of the Windows 95 Backup application.

All users of the Windows 95 Backup application should obtain this updated component. This is an update to a component that has been released since Microsoft Windows 95 Service Pack 1 (Sept. 10, 1996).

NOTE: This download is not intended for use on computers running Microsoft® Windows® 98.

How to Download

1. Create a folder by right-clicking on the desktop, click New, and then click Folder. Type a name for the folder and press enter.
2. Click the Download Now button at the top or bottom of this page. In the File download dialog box that appears on your screen, click Save Program to Disk.
3. Choose to save the file in the folder you just created, then click Save.
4. Open the folder and double-click the downloaded file. Follow the instructions that appear on your screen.

How to Use
You don't need to do anything after downloading.
