This update eliminates the "File Access URL" vulnerability in Microsoft Windows® 98. Installing this update will prevent a malicious web site or e-mail message from exploiting that vulnerability to cause your computer to crash or run arbitrary code.

How to download and install

How to uninstall
NOTE: Please save all your work and close all applications before attempting to uninstall this component. You will need to have your original Windows 98 or Windows 98 Second Edition CD available to uninstall this component.

1. Click Start, point to Find, and click Files or Folders.
2. Search for 245729UN.INF
3. Once this file is displayed, right-click on the file and choose Install.
