Shut off your screen saver when you start a game

Windows Me

Let's say you've invested a lot of time in playing a computer game. Now you want to pause it for a while to do something else, but your screen saver causes your game to freeze up. You can prevent this by shutting off your screen saver before you play a game.

Here's how:

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Click the Display icon.
  3. Click the Screen Saver tab.
  4. In the Screen Saver drop-down menu, click None.
