Create a printer shortcut

Windows Me

You can give yourself fast, drag-and-drop access to initiating a print job by creating a printer shortcut on your desktop.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Start button, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Click and drag the Printers icon to your desktop, and then click Yes.

When you want to print a file, drag it onto your new printer shortcut, and the print job will begin immediately.
