PLANET VAX

Welcome to Planet VAX, an information refuge for running freely available operating systems on Digitial Equipment's VAX line of computers.

Slowly evolving, Planet VAX ever increasingly eeks towards gathering more useful information on the VAXen of our Universe...

Calling all VAXherds of the world. If you're the proud keeper of a VAX, send me a picture of your system(s) and a brief background on your VAX. Provide your city and country location as well and I'll start compiling a list of VAXen and their locations on our planet. Send your info to bdc@world.std.com

20 Years of VAX

The year was 1977. Up from the primeval ooze of 16bit-dom and onto the mudflats of 32bit terra firma, the VAX 11/780 was born. It lumbered forth in its bulky exoskeleton, an evolutionary mutation of magnificent proportions. The Universe would never again be the same. Check out Digital's VAX 20th Anniversary page. You may also want to stop by Digital's Timeline pages as well, for a trip down memory lane.
