New VAX 256MB And 512MB Memory Capacities Available

Effective January 6, 1997 Digital has expanded the midrange and desktop VAX 4000 Model 108, MicroVAX 3100 Model 88, and MicroVAX 3100 Model 98 memory capacities. They now support both 256 MB and 512 MB of memory, using low-cost, standard SIMM memory. 512 MB VAX memory capability for VAX users needing double the capacity of 256 MB is now available as a second memory adapter module in a kit (MS45-DA) with 128 MB of SIMM memory, expandable to 256 MB. VAX desktop customers with MicroVAX 3100 Model 88 and MicroVAX 3100 Model 98 systems can now benefit from - and step up to - memory capacity previously available only on higher-end VAX systems, for a fraction of the cost.
