I just received a 3000-400 with rx26 drive. With a 1.44 Mb
floppy in place, attempting any operation like disklabel,
fsck, or mkfs results in a loud whirring sound for ~20
seconds then I/O error complaint. Doesn't it support
all density media? How can I make it more agreeable?
It almost sounds like a bad drive, (perish the thought!)
My ultimate goal is to make bootable disks for TURBOchannel
firmware developement as well as DOS sneakernet. Has
anybody experience making these things work in A OSF/1?
