/usr/sys/BINARY/kern_exit.o (CLD UVO102126)
CHECKSUM: 33182 29
---------------------

Patch ID: OSFV30-031-2

In a situation where a streams process on init's child list is hung,
some zombie processes will not get cleaned up from init's child list.
Resources associated with these processes are not available for re-use.
An example is when a user logs out from a LAT terminal, init does not
respawn the 'getty' process, and the LAT line becomes unavailable to
the system (eventually many LAT lines will be unavailable). This
patched version of kern_exit.o corrects the problem.

A kernel rebuild is required.

/usr/sbin/dump

/usr/sbin/rdump

/sbin/dump

Problem 1:
*********

Patch ID: OSFV30-013-2

The dump and rdump programs were aborting improperly. When they were
required to abort, they would kill a parent process outside of dump.
Therefore if dump were run from cron, dump would kill cron. This has
been corrected.

Problem 2: (CLD hpaqa6710)
*********

Patch ID: OSFV30-054-2

The (r)dump program was core dumping with SIGSEGV when an entry for an
nfs filesystem in the /etc/fstab did not begin with a backslash.
Additionally, this patch includes a correction for properly reporting
write failures.
