/etc/aliases over yp??

Hi managers!
I've been using hesiod for passwd, group & aliases but now I have to
start moving to nfs. The only problem I have is that my global aliases
don't seem to work with NIS as it used to with hesiod.

My nameserver is an Ultrix 4.2 box while the clients are OSF/1 2.0 boxes.
I'm quite confused by the output of "ypcat aliases", it is mostly
garbage, while "ypcat -k aliases" gives what I want. So now:

1) is yp aliases supported on alphas?
2) any special requirements in sendmail.cf? (I don't use the original)
3) did I miss something?

Regards, Harald
