Disklabel problems

Good morning,

We have experienced problems with bringing up news disks
on our OSF machines. We have a 2100 Alpha Server with 5 RZ28 disks
(JBOD) and whenever we do a disklabel it has a message that various
partitions of the disk are too long... Here is the example:

disklabel -rw rre4c rz28
partition c extends past end of disk by 144 sectors, truncate? [n]

I just don't want my system to expect to see writable blocks and they
are not there. I spoke with DEC and they were not really definitive
with their answer.

We're not even close to having disk space problems but I would like
to know the cause and what is the correct procedure.
