Loader program control for TZ877?

Hello all,

    We have an Alpha 2100 with a TZ877 tape drive. We're running OSF/1
V3.0. Is there either a utility or an API that can control the TZ877's
loader? I'm looking at using amanda to do some backups, and the version I
have has support for loaders... *if* there is a program available that can
control the loader.
