I am running two AXP 3000s one still on v2.1 the other
'upgraded' to v3.0. People log in using a variety of
terminal emulation protocols and, since upgrading to v3.0
(I *think* thats the relevant change), a number of
annoying defects have popped up:
1) Cursor keys do not work on a) PCs & Macs running NCSA-telnet
in b) emacs. (They work okay at the command prompt)
2) 'more' does not print cleanly on PCs running kermit: it
prints the last line on line 25 and only does a CR not a
CR + LF. More functions okay on a 'real' VT320. 'less'
functions okay.
None of these problems is apparent on the v2.1 machine.
I assume that they are two guises of the same problem. So
soltions of using less (which is okay) or rebuilding emacs
seem to me to be avoiding the problem.
I have tried robbing /etc/termcap from various sources
but it does not help.
Any ideas? Will summarise for this minority issue.
