internal disc on second SCSI controller

Hi,

is it somehow possible to connect two internal drives to two
different SCSI-controllers? I have a 3000/500 with the default
2 SCSI controllers (one internal, one external).

a trivial solution seems to be to connect the second disc to the external
SCSI-connector, but I'd like to avoid the external port.
