Try executing savecore -c It will 'clear' the core dump without actually saving it. __________________________ [ Virginia Tech ] __________________________ . Eric A. Bishop ebishop_at_vt.edu . . From single user mode, when the machine is refusing to finish booting because of the crash dump you can do: # mount -u / # bcheckrc # /usr/sbin/rcmgr set SAVECORE_FLAGS M # Control-D Just the rcmgr command if you don't want to keep the possibility of writing the core dump if there is space. You can also use rcmgr to specify a different directory where to put your crash dump.
