I made a (feeble) attempt to cancel that last message - it's quite
likely that everyone doesn't *need* a summary because I forwarded all
of the responses to the entire list. Major goof (gotta be careful
   about that ^Z in EVE/TPU when you're trying to hit ^A. :^(

If this message is redundant and annoying - I'm sorry. For those who
really prefer a _summary_ - here's the initial post ...

o The common answer was "savecore -c" (which worked beautifully) to mark
the dump invalid without copying it.

o The second answer (which we may use - I suspect this problem will be
with us for a while) is to use "/usr/sbin/rcmgr set SAVECORE_FLAGS M".
It's also possible to change the dump directory to something other
     than /var/adm/crash ...

The notes about the "rcmgr" approach conflicted a bit - one indicated it
would prevent the system from creating core dump files, another said it
would keep the system from going into single-user mode if a core dump
could not be written. Another look in our /etc/rc.config shows that we
don't have an entry for SAVECORE_FLAGS, but I'm not sure it's a problem.
