A few days ago I sent out a message about this same subject, but
it never seemed to make it out to the real world(does that exist?)
Anyways, I've seen a few people enquiring on here over the last
several weeks about various questions related to setting up modems
on DEC machines. I have recently been assigned to setup a dialin/ppp/
fax server on one of my machines, so I am beginning my hunt for
information here. What I'm planning is to have 3-5 modems hooked
up to one machine. If anybody out there could point me in the right
direction on how to do the hardware aspect of this, I would be
greatly appreciative. I think I can probably plunder through
the software part once I got some device names and the like.
I'm running OSF 1.3 right now, but I hear 3.2's in the mail.....
Also, I wouldn't mind putting together a faq or minifaq on this
whole modem thing when it's all said and done. It seems like
quite the popular topic, so maybe a minifaq could be quite helpful.
