Using large capacity scsi in storage works

Greetings from the Isle of Man.
We are installing the new packaged Internet server based on the Alpha
1000 4/200 soon.
The storage works modules are too small an increment at 2gb each. If
we purchase the carriers separately can we get the Alpha and osf3 to
recognise 9gb units please? If so what needs to be
done from an admin point of view to recognise 9gb Micropolis units.
