How can I fix "w" problem in my OSF/1 3.0B?

Dear all
        Does any one know "w" problem in OSF/1 ?

        w didn't show "what are you doing now" ,

        How can I fix this problem ?

        is there any patch ?

         (PS. my OS is OSF/1 3.0B now)
