Hi,
I installed Majordomo 1.93 on my AlphaServer 2000 4/200 OSF/1 v.3.0B.
It needs Perl. So I installed Perl 5.0.
All installations were easy and unproblematic. But ...
When I issue a 'help' command to the Majordomo (from another host on a
local network) it generates a hudge load on the server. After some
time I get results of my help command, but majordomo-owner (me ;-))
receives the following message:
----- Transcript of session follows -----
Who are you?: Invalid argument
Out of memory!
554 "|/usr/local/majordomo/wrapper majordomo"... unknown mailer error 1
The server has 64 MB of memory. And about 1.2 GB of free disk space.
On the server message: "Swap space below 10 percent" is visible.
The only additional process run on the server is httpd, but it does
nothing as it is not used (I am just testing it). There are also not
interactive users logged in.
Whats wrong, how can I improve this?
Best regards
