I have just installed the AFAADVGUI300 subset on our DEC 3000/800
running OSF/1 3.0. When I run the command /usr/bin/X11/dxadvfs I get the
return message :
advfs_setup_mon error
the contents of /usr/var/opt/dxadvfs/dxadvfs.log are :

When I run setld -v AFAADVGUI300 I get :
Checking for proper installed files...
DXADVFS INSTALLATION VERIFICATION:
DXADVFS data files are properly installed on node ALPHAST...
The Installation Verification of DXADVFS will now bring
up the application main window for about 10 seconds and
it will automatically exit.
If this message is the last one you get when installing DXADVFS,
then there was a problem running an X application
on your system. Check the DISPLAY environment variable.

My DISPLAY is set and valid, and I can run other X apps.
