Summary: LVM retirement v.s LSM licensing

Hi managers !

Here is a summary on the subject I brought up Friday 24th of March:

Most of the answers said that LVM was buggy, especially the part that does
mirroring (we use LVM, without mirroring, and have had no problems).
The unlicensed features of LSM can do everything LVM can, except mirroring
(licensed in LSM, free but not working in LVM).
Thanks to all who responded, especially to allan_at_nabeth.cxo.dec.com who
tested what worked and what did not in LSM without the LSM license. Here is
the result of the tests (DEC OSF/1 3.2, using 'volassist')

create mirror volume failed (available feature, but buggy, in LVM)
