SUMMARY: Restricting memory used by OSF/1

 The procedure used to restrict memory used by OSF/1 to some
 number <= the actual physical memory installed is;

 1) perform an interactive boot
>>> boot -fl i

 2) When the option prompt appears, type
        vmunix memlimit=XXX

  Where XXX is the amount of memory (in megabytes) you want
 available. This value persists across reboots apparently, so
 it has to be reset manually to the full amount once the experiment
 has finished.
