Does anyone have a pointer to a netscape site for osf/1 3.0?
I have tried
plaza.aarnet.edu.au (only lets 5 non aussies in; never made it in)
ftp.bio.indiana.edu (has Solaris, SunOS, HP-UX, sgi, ibm, etc,
but no osf/1)
ns.uam.es (access denied)
media-lab.media.mit.edu (/pub/martin is now an empty directory)
All of these were pointed to by archie. Also, I heard that netscape
was not yet 64-bit clean? Also, I saw a message Feb. 13 which said:
For some reason unknown to me, I can't get Netscape running under
OSF/1 version 3.0. I get that pesky error:
Unaligned access pid=14024 <netscape> va=1401a1e34 pc=120257fec
ra=1202571d8 type=stq
Over, and over, and over....
Others said:
Entering uac p 0 before netscape eliminates the message and netscape works.
(people write scripts to uac p 0 and then undo this).

So,
1) is there a place where one can get a suitable netscape building kit
for osf/1?
2) does it still have the unaligned access messages? is it reasonable
to follow the uac p 0 message and just run it? Does this
put a big burden on the system?
Thanks for any info..
