Hi,

yesterday I upgraded from OSF 1.3 to 3.2. I tried to install pidentd-2.2
on my DEC (3000 400), but it's not working.

I put the correct line to inetd.conf:

ident stream tcp nowait root /usr/local/sbin/identd identd

bash# l /usr/local/sbin/identd
-rwxr-x--- 1 root system 65536 Apr 1 13:26 /usr/local/sbin/identd

but as I make test, I get:

bash# telnet 130.236.254.1 114
Trying 130.236.254.1...
Connected to 130.236.254.1.
Escape character is '^]'.
Welcome to the IDENT server tester, version 1.7

Connecting to Ident server at 149.156.129.50...
Querying for lport 1229, fport 114....
Reading response data...
Error response is:
   Lport........ 0
   Fport........ 0
   Error........ UNKNOWN-ERROR
Connection closed by foreign host.

Also as I connect to localhost, there is an error:

bash# telnet localhost 113
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.
0 , 0 : ERROR : UNKNOWN-ERROR
Connection closed by foreign host.

What's the problem? Maybe some options in kernel are missing?

        Thanks in advance, Grzesiek
