Thanks to everyone who sent the fping.c fix last night. Unfortunately
on the bug hunt page for Satan, people have been having trouble with
the mondo tcp/udp hits that satan puts against OSF/1 systems running
1.3. I have had the same problem under 3.0a.
The other thing that was not too cool was not having a Makefile option.
I just winged it and used the following:
osf:
        _at_$(MAKE) all LIBS= XFLAGS="-DAUTH_GID_T=int"
osf1:
        _at_$(MAKE) all
The osf compiled under make okay, but so did osf1. How do you determine
what XFLAGS you would need? For the gurus out there, who do you start
with as a "swag" when alpha or osf1 is not a listed choice.
FYI satan ran a light scan just fine, medium ran fine, but satan died
when I tried running a heavy the first thing this morning. I do have
adequate hardware available so I wonder if its an OSF/1 hiccup.
