wu ftpd

Hi folks!

I installed wu-ftpd-2.4 for anonymous ftp on our 3000/500 running
OSF 3.0. It now seems to me that ftp has a lot of processes hanging,
over the weekend I got 40+ processes owned by ftp. Has anyone else
seen this behaviour? Do any solutions exist?
