What is "UBC write error (-160) on device...?"

After upgrading to Digital Unix 3.2, the console reports errors like
this:

UBC write error(-160) on device (0,0) at block 0 size 8192
UBC write error(-160) on device (0,0) at bloxk 16 size 8192
UBC write error(-160) on device (0,0) at block 32 size 8192
UBC write error(-160) on device (0,0) at block 64 size 8192

I've never seen this before. I mostly use the Advanced File System.
Isn't device (0,0) the SCSI controller?

Thanks for your help,

Matt Harrington
