Most responces suggested to check the /dev files and perform a doconfig. None
of this worked as the SCSI-ID of the QIC-150 tape unit was permantly set to
ID=4, the RZ28 hard disk continued to use ID=4, as the tape unit was last on
the scsi chain it was never seen by 'show device'.

The problem was that the SCSI-ID connector switch was connected to the
controller board the wrong way round, so what ever setting you chose it still
used ID=4. Fixing this all was well.

It was just my luck all things worked fine when I first installed the tape
unit and chose the SCSI-ID=4.

Thanks to all who responded..

Joe
