Digital Unix V3.2 and INN

Maybe someone can tell me if this might be related to some problem with an
ADVfs file system and INN, or something else.

I recently upgraded my 3000/300LX from V3.0 to V3.2. This machine is being
used as an INN news server. All the incoming news, from my only feed, is
fine. It gets all that and unpacks it nice and quickly. The problem comes
from trying to feed my old server. It seems, at times, like INN just stops
and waits for something before sending more news on to the other system.
Then there are other times that things just stream right along with no
problems. I thought maybe a reboot of the system might clear the problem,
but that had no effect. If I run monitor, I can see that the news
disk is getting some significant action. If I run top, I can see that
several processes will go into a WAIT condition. What is this WAIT? I will
see innd, innxmit, overchan, and some others enter this condition. Then
innxmit will just sit there for a while before it tries to send more news on
to the other system. Any ideas??? Thanks.
