netstat -nr revisited...

Thanks for all of the responses to my question regarding two netmask
statements when issuing netstat -nr command:

BUT...

Jerry Winegarden and Ray Stell stated that I check the rc.config file for:
IFCONFIG_0 = "141.164.100.8 netmask 255.255.255.0"

and that I make sure I only have one ethernet interface defined

rc.config does already have the correct entry; I also only have one
interface defined (ifconfig_0)
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Suzanne Hassell suggested that I check my /etc/routes file. I compared
this file to the one on my other alpha that is networking just fine; the
file is identical except for the ip numbers (for the appropriate machines.)

Matthew Harrell suggested trying the command:

 ifconfig ln0 netmask 255.255.255.0

I did this, but can't reboot at this time to see what effect it has.

Does anyone have any more suggestions? (Where are you DEC!!!!)
Thanks for all of the input. Please send help.
