BIND fails on alias'ed interface

Hello,

I have two 3000/400 running OSF/1 3.0. They are BIND-servers and have three
ethernet-interfaces each. One of the interfaces has two TCP/IP-adresses, one
of
which is added via an "ifconfig ... alias"-statement. The two adresses are on
different subnets in a subneted B-class network.

The problem is that contacts made to the named-process via the alias-adress
does not work. The strange thing is that everything else works fine via this
interface! (Both tcp and udp.)

We also have similar problems doing any kind of connection to other systems via
an ISDN-router from an aliased adress.

Anybody got a clue?

/Mats
