Hello OSF/1 System Managers,

I use the following command to backup my UFS and ADVFS
        /sbin/vdump -0 -N -u -f /dev/nrmt0m /
        /sbin/vdump -0 -N -u -f /dev/nrmt0m /usr
        /sbin/vdump -0 -N -u -f /dev/nrmt0m /apps2
        /sbin/vdump -0 -N -u -f /dev/nrmt0m /apps3
/ an usr are UFS and the others are ADVFS. When I perform a VRESTORE
interactively (vrestore -i) and then do an ls after I cd to /apps2, for
example, I get an empty directory. I am running OSF/1 version 1.3 A.
However, when I cd to /etc, I was able to see some files listed.
Could the vdumpdates file got to do with this? I intentionally left
th -u and some other necessary options to test my backup script first.

Thanks.
