Problems with 300/400 and HP LJ III under v1.3

I have inherited a 3000/400 running v1.3 (cant upgrade any time soon)
and I am having a lot of difficulty getting it to print to a HP
a Laserjet III (no Postscript support). Every combination generates an
error.

If any of you have a printcap entry for such a setup could you forward
it to me please. Could you forward the if and of filters too, or tell
me where you got them?
