When the alphas first came out there was some talk of alpha "farms". I have
inherited a group of 8 alphas that we call a "farm", which are used to
run parallel code via PSE and HPF, or pvm/mpi, or other packages, and I'm
struggling with licensing issues for these systems. I've been told by DEC
that they do not sell "Site Licenses", and as you probably know it becomes
extremely expen$ive to purchase licenses for each node. Does anyone have any
info on the "farm" concept that might indicate that there are cheaper licensing
schemes for a group of systems used in this way????
