su in SnnXXXX starting scripts

Hi all,
I have slight problem. I try to setup INGRES server for our
DECathena environment. All work fine except for automatic
startup/shutdown depending on init level :-(.

The INGRES needs to start up from 'ingres' (not root) user account (I
hope). I am not able to do something like this

.....
        su ingres -c "/var/ingroot/ingres/iistartup ...."
.....

in the /sbin/rc3.d/Sxxingres and /sbin/rc2.d/Kxxingres scripts, because

>>>
su: may not be called from rc script
<<<

said Mr. OSF :-(

We are running the DEC Unix 3.2 with C2-security.

Thank you very much for any help/suggestion!

Regards,
        Lubos
