Due to a popular demand in the College we intend to upgrade
our backup servers, DEC Stations 5000/133 running Ultrix 4.3,
DECnsr v2.1, to Alphas. I am concerned if we can transfer on-line
indexes from Ultrix to OSF/1 to make the transfer transparent to
the users. Our browse and retention plicies are three months and
one year respectively.Digital support have sadly given no useful input.
